Are you an SEN Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?

We are looking for a SEN Teacher to join our new Options Autism School – Skylarks School in Epsom, Surrey. The school will have capacity for 60 pupils and is due to open in December 2024. 

Skylarks School will cater to pupils ages 11 – 19-year-old who have ASC and Complex Needs.

Up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata) 

37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

About the role

Working as an SEN Teacher, you will deliver fun educational based learning which is tailored to each of our pupils to ensure they will achieve positive results.

Duties will include:

Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions whilst maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments

Writing and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment, setting challenging yet achievable targets

Build relationships with all pupils, which will encourage their interest and participation in their education

Creating an environment which is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings

Key Skills Required:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills

Have a background of teaching English and Maths, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
