Senior / Principal Process Engineer – Contract
Rate: £400-£525 per day
Remote with minimal office visits

Industry – Wastewater / water treatment / effluent treatment
Looking for a Senior/Principal Process Engineer to provide technical leadership in water/wastewater treatment solutions. This role involves designing, optimizing, and implementing treatment processes across municipal, industrial, and environmental sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Leading process design and engineering activities to develop and optimize wastewater treatment solutions
* Evaluating client requirements and supporting the sales team in bids and proposals
* Collaborating with technical teams on process design, mass balance calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, and control philosophies
* Conducting site visits, R&D trials, and working with key stakeholders to develop winning solutions
* Coaching and mentoring teams while ensuring strong technical governance
What You Need:
* Degree in a relevant technical field
* 10+ years of experience in wastewater/effluent treatment design and optimization
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and technical governance skills
* Experience in process review, team development, and client-facing responsibilities
* Ability to work independently with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
