Your Role
As Senior Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Marinus Link’s enterprise and project risk framework, ensuring that risk management principles are fully integrated into strategic and operational decision-making. You will oversee risk identification, assessment, mitigation and reporting—providing clarity and confidence to executive leadership, project teams and the board. You will also champion a proactive risk-aware culture, ensuring Marinus Link is well-positioned to navigate complexities and emerging challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise & Project Risk Leadership – Lead the development, implementation, and governance of Marinus Link’s risk management framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Risk Advisory – Identify and assess emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory changes, providing expert advice to safeguard project outcomes and enhance business resilience.
- Risk Monitoring & Reporting – Establish and maintain robust risk monitoring and reporting systems, delivering insightful analysis and clear recommendations to the Executive Leadership, Board, and Audit & Risk Committees.
- Driving a Risk-Aware Culture – Work across the organisation to embed a culture of proactive risk management, enabling leaders and teams to make informed, risk-based decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with governance, compliance, legal, project delivery, and operational teams to integrate risk strategies into business-as-usual and project execution.
- Capability Building & Leadership – Mentor and guide a high-performing risk team, fostering continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation in risk management practices.
You’ll Need
You are a proactive and strategic risk leader who enjoys working at the intersection of governance, decision-making, and business performance. You excel at connecting risk intelligence with opportunity management, and you thrive in environments where complexity, change, and stakeholder engagement are key drivers of success. You’ll bring:
- Expertise in Risk Management – Strong leadership experience in enterprise, strategic and project risk management, with a track record of developing and embedding risk frameworks in complex, large-scale projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Influence – Proven ability to advise and influence executive leadership, boards and operational teams, shaping risk strategy to support business objectives.
- Technical Risk Capability – Advanced skills in quantitative risk analysis (QSRA, QCRA using Monte Carlo simulations), risk governance and the application of risk management software and data analytics (Power BI, MS Office, and project risk tools).
- Commercial & Regulatory Acumen – Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and risk management standards (RMIA, ISO 31000 certification highly regarded).
- Leadership & Culture Building – Passion for fostering a risk-aware culture, coaching teams and embedding best-practice risk management into decision-making.
- Problem-Solving & Resilience – An analytical and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to balance risk and opportunity, ensuring the business makes informed and confident choices.
