This Bristol primary school is looking for a hard-working, caring Teaching Assistant to work in their SEND department come September. This job will be working with a team of like-minded individuals with whom you will share responsibility and a duty of care for the young ones. This school is highly regarded and reviewed by both teachers and parents alike for its friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, as they all have the same goal of bettering children’s learning. This BS5 school is located along a public bus route and has a car park on site.
Your new role
Your role as a SEND Teaching Assistant will require you to be very versatile and flexible as SEND is an extremely varied and wide spectrum, you will be assisting children with requirements such as autism, ADHD and global delay, to name a few. This role is not limited to one class as you will be helping with children throughout primary school, but mostly in KS2.
With this role, you will be organising activities to keep the children engaged and conducting sessions with children based on their specific requirements.
Requirements to succeed in your new role
Teaching Assistant experience within the last two years
Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
Previous experience with young SEND children.
