Purpose of the position: Reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations, you will oversee the Channel Enablement team. Channel Enablement is a vital function within SMART’s Unified Commercial Engine that exists to increase channel engagement, manage channel investment and enable our channel management teams to enhance partner relationships and grow key partners. This position is responsible for leading the Channel Enablement initiatives including the SMART’s Partner Program, channel and sales programs and promotions, enhancing channel knowledge and working cross-functionally to ensure effective change management impacting sales and channel.

Duties and Responsibilities: You will lead a small and impactful channel enablement team responsible for:

Using actionable data and relevant insights to help SMART innovate and align strategic decision-making with go-to-market activities that result in increased share and revenue

Working closely with SMART channel sales leadership to enhance and evolve SMART’s channel strategy and ensure teams are enabled to successfully execute

Working cross-functionally across SMART’s end user sales, channel sales and marketing teams to collaborate on tools, resources and investment to ensure channel is both capable and motivated to sell SMART

Developing and managing a best-in-class Deal Registration program with the goal of enhancing visibility to channel-led pipeline and reducing channel conflict.

Developing programs and managing the budget for channel investment programs, ensuring maximum ROI

Maintaining and enhancing SMART’s partner programs to ensure continued improvement in our channel and adherence to SMART’s standards for reseller capabilities

Representing channel needs through critical changes impacting their ability to sell SMART

Ensure systems including SMART’s channel portal and engagement platforms are a valuable tool for our channel partners to deliver training, sales material, product knowledge and access to the latest programs, pricing and promotions.

Establish metrics and objectives for channel enablement and make recommendations for increasing engagement, productivity and strategy execution.

Lead strategic projects

Model and foster a culture of accountability, execution, and customer centricity

Accurately measure, monitor, and report on team performance and metrics

Provide guidance to direct reports including setting expectations and key performance targets, and developing career plans

Facilitate training and succession of new staff including cross training, balancing workloads, and coverage for staff changes

Conduct business with utmost professionalism, ensuring corporate policies and procedures are adhered to and maintained

Other duties as required

Education and work experience: BS/BA Degree (or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role

Experience successfully building, coaching, and motivating high performing teams while holding employees accountable

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with experience in deadline management and delivering against goals and targets

Strategic, critical, creative thinker with strong business analytics, relationship building, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills

Possesses outstanding oral and written communications skills

Comfortable and confident in challenging the status quo in a proactive, professional manner

Decisive with good judgment – identifies and resolves problems effectively

Ability to prioritize, track work activities and meet deadlines

Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, and a solid work ethic

Very strong business and computer skills

Supervision: This position has direct reports

Additional Details: Travel both domestically and internationally (Note: As valid passport is required)
