Job Purpose:

As a Technical Engineer your primary responsibility will be to deliver, support and manage complex systems, ensuring a customer’s expectations are exceeded throughout a systems delivery and lifecycle. The role will include working in some of the UK’s most prestigious sites and will vary from bringing new systems online to keeping existing systems operational, whist continually identifying ways in which they can be improved from both the Customer’s and Esotec’s perspective. The Technical Engineer will also ensure that the relevant project related paperwork is created to achieve a smooth handover to other team members and ensuring the creation of timely and accurate project O&M information. As a Technical Engineer you are expected to provide support and training to other team members

Capabilities:

Reliable and able to work unsupervised

Ability to lead and supervise a team, working as part of a technical callout team

Ability to pass on knowledge to other members of the team

Self-motivated and enthusiastic; able to work in an autonomous manner

Have a clear focus on high quality, whilst working in a team environment

Professional manner and approach at all times

Excellent communication skills, both internally and with customers

IT literate, with experience in drawing packages

Experience in the following areas preferred with in enterprise system integration including, Genetec, Gallagher and ISM Genesys platforms

Experience with Cisco layer 2/3 networking an advantage

Full UK driving Licence

Comfortable with travelling and spending time away from home

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Work closely with customers and project management teams, both internal and external, in developing requirements and solutions

Lead by example and capable of directing a project team

Support system installation and maintenance tasks

Delivery of solutions as specified to meet, and or exceed, customers expectations

Commissioning of new installations to customers satisfaction and sign-off

Training of other service and maintenance staff

Completing project and service related paperwork to meet business requirements and timescales

Comply with company procedures and H&S policies
