Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator
Location: Brentwood
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + potential £5,000 performance-related bonus
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
H&B Recruitment are working with a well-known client seeking a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer/Estimator to join their team. This role involves selling M&E services and requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop and field service activities.
Key Responsibilities for Technical Sales Engineer:
* Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from engineering drawings/specifications
* Produce quotations, pricing, and tender bids
* Maintain communication with clients throughout the process
* Achieve monthly sales targets
* Follow sales action plans and strategies
* Resolve customer complaints effectively
* Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales
* Attend weekly sales meetings
* Manage client relationships end-to-end for an excellent customer experience
* Promote the business brand consistently
* Ensure timely delivery of information
What We Need From You for Technical Sales Engineer:
* Experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment
* Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches
* Highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen
* Confidence in dealing directly with decision-makers and customers
* Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office, CAD software, and other sales tools
* Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* Focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance
* Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
Desirable and Technical Skills for Technical Sales Engineer:
– Experience in an estimating role
– Understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles
– Industry experience in machining and fabrication services
– Good market knowledge
– Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities
– Skill in making presentations to promote new products and services
– Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications
